Off-Road Course
On 28 and 29th of March, David Rofe and I took the World of BMW Off-Road Skills course in Wales. And what an adventure that was.... This excellent course is aimed at making sure that you can ride a motorcycle off road, and teaches you the ins and outs, techniques and skill sets to make you comfortable when you leave the highway and go in search of adventure in the woods or desert.

The course is organized by www.worldofBMW.com, and 2 of the instructors are current Paris-Dakar rally riders. The course lasts 2 days, and there are 28 participants and 4 qualified instructors. The participants ride BMW F650GS and F650Dakar bikes, but at the end of the course you are allowed to take a spin with one of the instructor's BMW R1150GSs.
The two days are very, very, physical and technical, but great fun. It is very trying, and you'll be scared most of the time, but you learn how to vanquish your fears and deal with the obstacles the instructors point you at.
If you plan to ever take this course (highly recommended), make sure you take several clean underpants.... you'll need them ;-)
The photos in the following sections are all reduced. The mini photos you'll see are all clickable. Once you click on one, a new window opens with a slightly bigger photo. Due to size and speed restrictions, I have drastically watered down the photos. If anyone wants one of the photos, send me an email with the photo number and I will email you the photo(s). But beware, the file size is between 1 and 2 megabytes !
NOTE: Since I was busy making photos, I did not get many names. So if you recognize yourself, send me an email with the photo number and your name. Mike Werner
I have divided the photos in different sections:
Morning One (part b) - Note: heavy load time. Lots of photos.
